Performance & Technology
Speed benchmarks, Core Web Vitals, and technology assessment for amanté
Mobile PageSpeed Score
Mobile Lighthouse score of 31/100 — lab LCP (10.1s), FCP (3.8s) and TBT (2,200ms) all fail on a throttled mobile run; only layout stability (CLS 0.083) passes.
Competitive Comparison
Benchmarked against 3 leading Fashion & Apparel stores in your market
| Store | Mobile Score | Desktop Score | Mobile LCP | Mobile CLS | Mobile TBT |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| amanté (Client) | 31 | 51 | 10.1s | 0.083 | 2200ms |
| Enamor | 21 | 38 | 37.0s | 0.417 | 930ms |
| Clovia | 31 | 57 | 3.6s | 0.371 | 3322ms |
| Shyaway | 36 | 56 | 43.7s | 0.003 | 1577ms |
⚠ Note: Enamor scores lower than amanté on mobile PageSpeed. This reflects the Fashion & Apparel category average — even established brands in this space struggle with mobile performance. The opportunity is to leapfrog the category, not just match it.
Core Web Vitals — Google's UX Quality Signals
Sites failing Core Web Vitals may rank lower in Google mobile search results
LCP How fast content appears
FCP First visual response
TBT Main thread blocking
CLS Visual stability
INP Tap/click responsiveness
What This Means for Revenue
amanté scores 31/100 on mobile and 51/100 on desktop in Google's Lighthouse lab test. The heaviest issue is main-thread blocking: 2,200ms of Total Blocking Time pushes the largest image on the homepage to 10.1s on a throttled mobile connection, so shoppers on slower networks wait before they can tap anything. The silver lining: real-user field data (Field Data, 28-day average) is far healthier — LCP 2.7s, FCP 1.7s, near-zero layout shift — which means returning visitors on good connections get a reasonable experience. INP of 218ms sits just above Google's 200ms 'good' line, so taps on filters and size pills feel slightly sluggish. This is an industry-wide gap rather than an amanté-specific one: Enamor (21), Clovia (31) and Shyaway (36) all score in the same band on mobile. Trimming third-party scripts and deferring below-the-fold apps is an opportunity to leapfrog every lingerie competitor on speed.
Technology Stack
Platform
Shopify
Hosted Shopify storefront served through Cloudflare; Shopify handles PCI compliance and hosting.
Theme
Amante-2.0/Final (Dawn 11.0.0 base)
- Type: Custom theme built on Dawn
- Dawn 11.0.0 custom fork (Online Store 2.0), heavily restyled with a bottom app-style navigation bar
- Sticky buy bar mislabels the selected size
Checkout & Payments
Shopify native checkout behind a mandatory OTP login via Not verified (checkout sits behind login)
- Guest checkout: not available - /checkout redirected an anonymous session to a 'Please Login to continue' page
- Express checkout: none on the cart (no Shop Pay, GPay, UPI quick-pay or Shopflo/GoKwik)
- Payment methods not visible before login; the store meta description advertises COD
Technology Assessment
amanté runs a custom Dawn 11 theme on Shopify behind Cloudflare. The storefront is fast to navigate and well merchandised, but the purchase path adds a mandatory OTP login before payment, the cart offers no quick-pay option, and the PDP sticky bar can display a stale size.
UX & Conversion Findings
Page-by-page analysis with visual comparisons against top Fashion & Apparel stores
- The first screens show the announcement bar, category circles, the Festive Edit hero and the New Arrival heading, with no icon-style trust or benefit element.
- The meta description promises COD, shipping across India and easy returns, and the cart shows a 14-day return line, but none of these appear as icons on the homepage.
- The payment icons (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, net banking, Cash on Delivery, BHIM UPI) appear only in the footer, at the very bottom of the page.
- For a lingerie buyer deciding whether to trust a new brand with a sensitive purchase, returns and delivery promises matter early.
- Add a four-icon strip directly under the hero (14-day easy returns, cash on delivery, shipping across India, card and UPI payments), using only promises the brand already makes.
- A visible reassurance strip in the opening screen builds confidence for first-time visitors and lifts click-through into categories.
- A scan of every screen of the mobile homepage, top to footer (categories, hero, product rails, Shop the Look, blog posts, a Social Media strip, SEO copy), found no review, testimonial or press section anywhere.
- The Social Media strip is the closest thing to social proof; it is a row of brand-posted images, not customer reviews, press logos or testimonials.
- Below it the page moves straight into long brand copy ('Lingerie That Empowers You!') and the footer.
- Judge.me is already installed on the store and holds real product reviews, so the data for a carousel exists.
- Add a 'Loved by customers' carousel fed by Judge.me reviews (with star rating and product) above the Social Media strip.
- Competitors show customer proof on the homepage, which supports trust for first-time shoppers at low build cost.
- Each card in view shows an image, the amanté label, the product name, MRP with the sale price, colour swatches and a bag icon.
- None of them shows a star rating or a review count, although Judge.me reviews exist on product pages.
- Discount badges and the Bestseller ribbon are the only trust-style cues on the cards.
- Add the Judge.me star badge with count under the product name on cards for products that have reviews.
- Competitors such as Clovia show ratings on cards, which helps shoppers shortlist faster and lifts click-through to the PDP.
- After tapping Filter, the drawer lists Category, Color, Size, Brand, Preference, Styles, Coverage, Occasion, Fabric and Pattern in a pink rail, while the area beside it is blank.
- The options only appear after tapping a heading; the underlying filters are strong (band and cup sizes, coverage, price range), so the content is hidden by the default state.
- A shopper who opens the panel and sees nothing selectable may close it and keep scrolling.
- Pre-open the Size group (band and cup) on first open, since fit is the main decision for bras.
- Show the active-filter count on the Filter button. Competitors present expanded size options immediately, which increases filter use.
- The product title, price and colour block shown here have no star rating or review count anywhere near them; the probe also found no rating element in the buying area.
- The only review UI is the Judge.me block much further down the page, which on this product reads 'Be the first to write a review'.
- On three other bestseller PDPs that do have reviews, no rating badge was found beside the title either, so the gap is the layout, not just a lack of reviews.
- In a fit-sensitive category like bras, a visible rating is the first reassurance a first-time buyer looks for.
- Render the Judge.me preview badge (stars plus count) directly under the product title, linking to the reviews block.
- Until reviews build up, show a short fit or comfort reassurance line in the same spot. Competitors such as Clovia show ratings beside the title, which lifts confidence at the decision point.
- The price, size picker and delivery pincode block shown here carry no shipping message of any kind.
- After adding the same bra to the cart, the cart bar reads 'Eligible for free shipping !!', so the offer exists but is revealed only after the purchase decision.
- The only other delivery element on the PDP is a pincode box titled 'Check Delivery Availability / Estimated Delivery Date', which does not state the shipping cost.
- Add a one-line 'Free shipping' note (and the exact condition, once confirmed with the client) directly under the price or the pincode box.
- Surface it again in the sticky purchase bar. Shyaway states 'Free Shipping over ₹749' just above its Add to Cart bar, which removes a common last-second hesitation.
- Size 34C is selected above (the heading reads 'Select Size : 34C' and 34C is highlighted), yet the pink sticky bar below still reads 32D.
- The bar appears only after a size is chosen and fills roughly a fifth of the phone screen, covering the product feature cards behind it.
- The bar does carry BUY IT NOW, ADD TO CART and a quantity stepper, so the mechanism is good; the state and footprint are the problems.
- Bind the bar's size label to the selected variant so the shopper always sees the exact band and cup that will be added.
- Slim the bar to a single row (size + price + add-to-cart) so more of the page stays visible. Competitors keep a compact sticky buy bar in sync with the selection.
- The recommendation block sits at the very bottom of the page, under the empty reviews widget.
- It is titled 'You may also like' and carries four products, all bras (Cotton Chic Support Bra, Blissease Cotton Bra in Tropical Peach, Cotton Super Support Bra, All Day Comfort), two visible at a time.
- No panty, pack or matching item appears, so the natural basket-building move for lingerie is missing.
- Rebuild the block as 'Complete the Set' showing the matching panty or a panty pack in the same colour, and move it higher, below the product features.
- Repeat the same pairing in the cart drawer, which today also suggests only more bras.
- Enamor already bundles a bra with a panty pack under 'Frequently Bought Together', which lifts basket size in this category.
- The black CHECK OUT bar at the bottom carries only the amount and an arrow; the strip above it says 'Eligible for free shipping !!' and nothing else.
- No payment-method icons, lock or 'secure checkout' text and no guarantee wording appear within the checkout area.
- The only reassurance in the cart is a small '14 days return available' line under each item, far from the button.
- Place a compact row of payment icons (UPI, cards, COD if offered) with a 'Secure checkout' lock and the easy-return promise right above CHECK OUT.
- Competitors reinforce trust at this exact step, which reduces cart abandonment from payment anxiety.
- With one bra in the cart, the drawer shows the item, offers box, discount code field and cross-sell, then the checkout bar.
- No subtotal, shipping line, discount line or total row exists; the only figures are the amount in the header and on the CHECK OUT button.
- Shoppers with a discount code applied have no place to see what it saved them.
- Add a three-line summary (subtotal, shipping or 'Free', total) and a discount line when a code is applied, directly above the checkout bar.
- Competitors show the breakdown in the cart, which reduces surprise and drop-off at checkout.
- The cart (BLISSEASE COTTON BRA - WHITE, MRP ₹795) ends in a single black CHECK OUT button with no express or accelerated payment method beside it.
- No UPI, wallet or one-tap pay option appears in the checkout area, only the amount and an arrow.
- For low-ticket baskets, every extra step before payment costs completion.
- Add a one-tap UPI or wallet option under the checkout button.
- Placing UPI and wallet shortcuts right under CHECK OUT shortens the path to payment for mobile shoppers and should lift checkout completion.
- With a bra in the cart (BLISSEASE COTTON BRA - WHITE, MRP ₹795), opening checkout redirected to the account login page showing only 'Please Login to continue.' and a LOGIN button.
- No guest checkout or email and address form is offered; the page then shows Popular Search links and the footer.
- First-time buyers of a sensitive product are asked to create or verify an account before they can pay, which is a known cause of cart abandonment.
- Enable guest checkout (or an optional login with a clear 'Continue as guest' choice) and keep OTP login as a speed-up for returning customers.
- Forced login at checkout is common across the category, so offering a clear guest path is a chance to get ahead of competitors and should lift checkout completion.

App Stack Assessment
amanté has a broad app stack covering reviews, wishlist, support, video commerce and analytics. The main gaps are around the purchase step (login wall, no quick-pay) rather than missing categories.
